Onew of the goals of this trip was to get a confirmation my mama was born in Morszyn. Therefore i had to go to Striy Archive and my niece Oksana and her son Yuri and i went on Friday 25th. of July ....but unfortunatly the lady of the archive went for a visit to Lviv and closed the office! huh? yes nobody else to do the work....

After this we went to visit the market, amazing how crowded this market was. Look at the other travelogue

This is the note the lady wrote and was put outside on the door of the Archive-office.

We decided to go back on Monday .
This time i went with Mitja, husband of my niece Oksana in a 26year old Lada, but still driving:-)

28th.2003Letter (request) i had to make to get the confirmation. First of all i had to make this letter and then pay 5 grivna at nearby bank. My cousin Mitja went with me by car to the center and there we had to search for a bank where we could pay this 5 grivna(almost 1 euro) not much huh? then we went backwith proof of payment and then we had to wait again untill the lady find the book were we could see the handwriting of some archivist, who wrote down the birth of my mam and her twinsister.
It was an emotional moment because it was on my birthday as well when i was looking in that book. Very interesting i must say, pity i wasnt allowed to take a picture so know this information is only in my head (
ah well. The lady typed the confirmation and that was it:-)

Here it is the proof i need to get a visa as half-ukrainian person.

This visa for half -ukrainians will allow me and my children to enter Ukraine for a period of 3 years with multiple entries so i dont have to go to the embassies again and
again:-)
