"San Diego - Campo" Campo Travelogue by matcrazy1

From San Diego I-8 first goes higher and higher, passes through Laguna Mountains (Crestwood Summit - 4190 ft = 1277 m) then Campo Indian Reservation.

From Camp you go eastwards up to Mountain Spring Pass (3241ft = 987.9 m). There is a county-line. You leave San Diego County and enter Imperial County. There is mountain river-flow divide between Pacific and Colorado River.

Then you drive down to the Imperial Valley (city of El Centro), by Sand Hills (on the left) to the state border line on Colorado River when you enter Yuma in Arizona.
