cont... from t-log 1

There are many men with capes waving to force the bull to run and attack.

To reduce the force of the bull a spear with an edge of steel is runned down in the neck of the bull by the Picadore. The aim of this action is to make the bull lower the head, so the matador can set the sword in the right place.
If the picador are working to hard the currage of the bull will be very much reduced, which the public don´t like.
The horses are blinded and can´t see the attacks from the bulls. The horses have some bamboo(?) shield to protect them, but it does not seem too much protection against a running bull with a weight of 500 kilo.
(This bulls were young, on greater corridas the bulls are much more heavy and brave)

Normal procedure is to put three pairs of spears.
Sometimes on hard bulls there can be used four pairs of spears, which make the public angry, as this sets down the forces of the bull, and the last steps will be too easy for the matador to do.

The matador starts to try to find out the bulls temperament, and how he shall set in the last action with his sword.

The matados is aiming at the bull. This is a intrigant point, the sword has to run into the aorta to kill the bull quick.

After the sword is set (sometimes only a part of the sword goes down and this action has to be done twice) some cape-men will run against the bull so he will move the head back and forth, this action is done to make the bull hurt himself by the sword.

At the end the bull falls, sometimes a man will have to run up and kill the bull with one or two strokes with some axe or something alike.

After the corrida the matadores will thank the audience.
Note that this matador in his first fight (of two) was hurt, but continued anyway with bandaged leg.
In this Novillada the matadores were 19, 22 and 26 years of age.
