Cumbe Mayo

Jewel of nature, this site is located on the Peruvian Andes, a few kilometers above Cajamarca (north of the country), but 1000 meters more above sea level (even if it was sunny, it was got damn cold !)

Veritable joyau de la nature, ce site se situe dans les Andes peruviennes donc, a quelques kilometres de Cajamarca (Nord du pays), mais a 1000 metres supplementaires vers les cieux (meme s'il faisait beau, on se les caillait sec).

Le compose magmatique a fait des siennes a Cumbe Mayo : notre guide, Jose, ne pouvait d'ailleurs s'empecher de nous faire remarquer que les roches formaient des figures connues, allant de l'animal a l'avion... Moi, j'ai surtout vu qu'il y avait un ane pas loin...

At the entry of a dangerous tunnel (see Warning Tips)... When we went out, we discovered an ingenious irrigation system, created by pre-incas, to derive the rivers toward the city of Cajamarca... Only our 3 milleniums old ancestors could do this !

A l'entree d'un tunnel ou je me suis fait un gros pete sur le front (c'etait tout noir, a l'interieur, j'vous jure !)...
A la sortie, on decouvrira un ensemble d'aqueducs batis par les pre-incas, pour detourner les lits des rivieres afin d'approvisionner la ville de Cajamarca... Des systemes ingenieux comme seuls nos ancetres d'il y a 3000 ans savaient les faire...

Yes, little Mary Ingalls is also running down the fields, here in Cumbe Mayo, but as she has the balance of Lara Corft, with regard to the rate space-gravity that is, at 3800 meters above sea level, close to 99,99 % (and this without considering air rubbings, all the same, though nevertheless however notwithstanding the fact that it is not impossible that this is due to the fact owing to the third of the qudruplets of my uncle's nephew...)... well, in a nutshell, she does not fall !

Eh oui, ici aussi, la petite Marie Ingalls descend les champs en courant, mais comme elle a l'equilibre de Lara Croft, compte tenu du coefficient espace-gravite maintenu a 3800 metres au-dessus de la mer a un pourcentage de 99,99 pour cent (et ce, en negligeant les frottements et toutes choses egales par ailleurs, surtout que nonobstant toutefois qu'il n'est pas impossible que cependant cela soit du a la quadrature du cercle)... bon bref, elle se casse pas la gueule, quoi...

We climb up a little hill and we can watch the whole city : there are street lamps, lovers embraced... but it's Peru !

On monte sur une petite butte (pas de meprise sur cette phrase, hein !), on voit toute la ville, il y a des lampadaires et des amoureux qui se becottent...
Bon sang, mais c'est bien sur, nous sommes au Perou !!!

Very interesting page. I hope to visit Peru someday(maybe next year) and your tips are very helpful. Especially the one about the ATM's.
