"July 2003 Osaka VT Meeting" Japan Travelogue by DirtyRudy

A bunch of us got together on July 20th, 2003 to hang around Osaka. The people who joined were:

Ayuri (Ayurinhiro)
Hiro (Ayurinhiro)
Homer
Kei (Sakura_Kobe)
Exoticgal (Uyen)
Van (Uyen's friend)
Randy (DirtyRudy)

All of them were really friendly and we all had a great time. I joined them later at Osaka castle. Exoticgal and her friend, Van, arrived from Vietnam that morning, and I flew in from Seoul in the afternoon.

Hai, chee-zu!

Ayuri, Van, Homer and I went up to the top of the castle. It was a reconstruction of the old castle which burnt down some time ago, so it's quite modern. We wanted to throw rocks at the people below us, but those darn fences were in the way!

After that castle, we took a rest at the park and exchanged food and gifts! Kei brought some Japanese senbei (crackers), Uyen had some sweet snacks that goes well with tea, I brought some spicy chocolate from Korea, and Ayuri & Hiro gave us small figures of Japanese food!

Unfortunately, Uyen lost hers on the train ride to Umeda Station... :(

Pretty bracelets....

Homer had to go, but the rest of us went on to Umeda Station. Along the way, the girls were checking out some of the bracelets that street vendors were selling.

Where did those girls go?

Hiro's located on the right side of the picture. I think he was looking for the rest of the girls, who at the moment seemed to have disappeared... probably shopping!

I had to go soon after to catch my train back to Shizuoka. We got a group pic just before I left.
