Life In A Podunk Town...

by truesunn - last update: Aug 4, 2006

How Did You Come To Live Here?

How did I get here? I was born 10 miles north of here in Trenton, where I went through school. My parents and brother still live there!

I had hoped to move to LA and go to art school when I was in High School, but you get side tracked along the way, and here I am! We have plans to relocate to a warmer climate in the next few years or so. I HATE SNOW!
Me!

Why Do You Stay In That Godforsaken Place???

Well, due to legal and financial matters, I have no choice but to stay in the area, at the very least till my daughter Brittney, who's 8 now, gets well into her school years.

I am currently working as a full time Lodging Supplier Specialist (working on hotels databases) and working towards my degree in Web Design so that no matter where I relocate, I am able to find work, or create my own as a freelancer!

Where Would You Go If You Could Leave, And Why?

While I love Las Vegas as a vacation destination, I feel like if I were to move there, it would loose it's magic. We're talking about moving to a small town near the KY/TN border.

Why? That's easy too. First and foremost, NO SNOW, NO COLD!

Wouldn't You Miss Your Friends?

I have had the same friends for 14-17 years. They are all wrapped up in their own family and lives now, and we rarely get to visit with each other anymore. But good friends are always together in spirit they say. And they would always have a place to stay!

What Would You Do If You Hit For $1MIL?

I get asked this often when I talk of Vegas with people... I would immediately go to the nearest realtor (assuming it was during business hours) and pay cash for a condo. I would then get to the nearest Chevy dealer and get my red on black leather Corvette I always wanted!

I would sell my current home ASAP, and buy all new leather furnishings for my new condo!

Of course I would also get the latest toys, a new superfast computer, and an all new Nikon camera set up.

Whatever I hadn't spent by this time (I figure I would have about $500K left over) would be invested! Perhaps also open my own photo studio out there.

(Yep and I can keep on dreamin' too)

And Finally... How Did You End Up On VT?

I was looking up some touristy info that maybe I hadn't found out about yet before my last Vegas stint! I liked the idea of sharing pics and stories about my travels and decided to join up!

Look for more pics and stories coming soon! Hope you enjoyed my FAQ LOL This is me, this is my story...
