 A great page on another lovely California beach town. The bird on your page is a Solitary Sandpiper, I believe.

 Sure the bird is neither an albatross nor a sea gull (long beak, tall legs, coat don't fit). Might be either an American Bittern or better a Ruff but I have no book on American birds to be sure. You have extensively visited South Ca, I was more on North!
