"Views of the Dockyard outside the Museum" Sandys Parish Travelogue by grandmaR

The nearer clock tower has the tide clock. The tide clock used to be set each day, but that is no longer done. I wanted to get a photo of the tide clock from the front (and shop), but I didn't have enough energy nor did we have enough time to walk all the way over there from the ferry dock before the mall closed and the next ferry left.

This was the best photo I could get in 1995, because my camera malfunctioned when I got up close to the towers.

This was in the rain in 1995 before Dolphin Quest moved to the museum. Now on each side of the iron railings where there is a discrete sign saying "Bermuda Maritime Museum" in this picture, there is a bright blue sign which says "Bermuda Maritime Museum & Dolphin Quest".

This is the Maritime Museum entrance today. The blue sign on a pole on the left says "Moat to Keep Yard", and gives an explanation.

Taken from the commissioner's house looking over the powder magazine buildings to the outside of the Maritime Museum

This is looking across the area in the photo above in 1995. We had to walk through this area to get to the mall.
