Wild flower in Circo Massenzio
Check out the beatiful wild flowers in the Circo Massenzio. Most of them are amazing. I especially love this violet one!
Tombe di Cecilia Metella

Tombe di Cecilia Metella

This tomb was made by a famous family (check out the off the beaten path tip) but about the person the tomb was constructed for nothing is known....

Mausoleum Torre di Capo di Bove

Here you see a part of the Mausoleum di Capa di Bove. It the the central part of the mausoleum. Many plants have taken over control of the building.

Nature

There are many places left and right of the road that look so cool. It is just like you are hundreds of kilometers away from civilisation and that you are right in the middle of nature. Actually the city centre is just about 4 km away.
The wild roses can be found everywhere along thje road. It looks fantastic.

Is this road bumpy??

Huh????

Are we seeing this correctly?? A few kilometres after we started our walk we saw this road sign. Can you imagine the looks on our faces? It was so hilarious. How could no-one have noticed the road is bumpy. The sign is of no use unless it was put at the beginning of the road, or right after a crossing, but this one was placed halfway along the road.

Tombe di Frontispice

At this tomb you have to check out the four reliefs of portraits.

Onlya hundred metres further you come across the Via di Tor Carbone. Take the bus back to the city from here. You can also walk further and see what more graves and old houses you will encounter along the way.

That picture of the Coliseum at night looks amazing. Did you fit everything into 4 days easily? I am thinking of Rome as a possible destination for a trip soon. :-)
