Our tour was supposed to be cave tubing, but due to time constraints, we had to take canoes. We got one paddle and one flashlight per boat. Here we are starting off.
The tour was by Eva's in San Ignacio and cost $25 per person. |
| | Cave Entrance The entrance really didn't look like anything to me. I might have just passed it by. |
| | Stalactites Stalactites form by mineral water dripping from the ceiling of the cave. Eventually the minerals build up to make these lovely formations. |

| | More stalactites The hot spots in the photos are from our flashlights. |
| | The trip took us into the cave about a mile and a half and took a couple of hours, not including drive time. The drive there was about 45 minutes each way. |
| | Our guide Clifford For most of the trip, we held our boats together while Clifford paddled. But some spots were too tight for 3 boats across, so we split up here. |
| | Close-Up These could really hurt if you brush up against them. We had to duck. |

| | The end Here's our guide Clifford leading us out. |
