Taken in November on the roadside on the island of La Gomera (Canary Islands). A mountainous island, reached by 45 minute high speed ferry from Tenerife. I thought the cactus looked "arty" without even trying!

Camel riding in Egypt

"It'll be fun" they all chorused. Taking a sand buggy into the Egyptian desert, meet the Bedouins and climb aboad a camel and ride into the sunset. After 20 minutes your backside becomes rather sore and not to mention your thighs that ache from trying to cling onto the saddle...have you got the picture yet?
But it was "fun" and certainly peaceful looking up at the stars with not a street light or neon sign in sight. This is a picture of my camel Fatima.
