The city that never sleeps & the party never ends |
| Addicted to Bass? Absolutely! |
| | Ntssss Ntsssss Ntsssss |
Splash! One of my favorite things to do in New York is to venture out into the gay club scene. It's all about the music, the positive vibes....and of course, the gorgeous Go-Go Boys!
One of my favorite mega-hot spots is the club SPLASH in Chelsea. (West 17th between 5th and 6th)Hitting this scene allows a gal to dig the scene without dealing with the cheesy "pick-up" lines or having "unsolicited" men come up to you. I always find myself making fabulous new friends when I frequent these places...........and it never fails to receive compliments on the outfit, the hair, the lipstick.....from this always friendly crowd!! | | | The Fabulous Boyz at Splash |
|
| Music & passion were always the fashion at Copa |
| | Sizzlin' Latin nights Our gal Janet (Kristara) introduced us to the Salsa scene of New York City by getting us on the VIP list at the hottest Salsa ticket in town: Copacabana.
The "Copa" has been around for decades and it's a place to hang for those hardcore Salsa addicts....or even just the "bystanders" who love to groove to a little Latin flavah.
The night we went, Tito Puente's Band was playing live. Upstairs is the main Salsa area and downstairs houses a DJ that spins Hip Hop and Reggae music for those who prefer a different beat.
I enjoyed both areas. The place was packed and the dancers were definitely showing their Latin roots through the flawless moves they displayed on the dancefloor.
Thanks again Janet for allowing us to experience the Salsa scene! |
Janet from the Block! That girl can MOVE!! It's the Puerto Rican blood that gives her such soulful moves! | | |
| Ohhhh those aching boots Janet! |
| | Slow, Slow, Quick Quick Slow..... Janet gives an impromptu Salsa lesson....... |
Timecheck: 4:30am.....Where to next??? After leaving the Copacabana, the hearty party VTers proceed to sample another nightlife venue.
We stopped by the club EXIT, hoping to hear the famous Junior Vasaquez spin some of his famous techno/trance music, but we were told by the Burly Bouncers that the club was CLOSED and will re-open at 6:30am for their "After Party."
Okay! 6:30am...we have 2 hours to kill where shall we go?? | | | The night is not over yet! It's still DARK outside |
|
| The Vampires of Manhattan |
| | Aaaaaaaaghh!! Bright light!! Bright light!! The music at Sound Factory was pulsating and we danced the morning away until our aching feet couldn't stand it no mo'!!
We left the club at 7am and parted ways.....Chris (CJG1) had to pack up for a camping trip that morning.....Janet (Kristara) had a pair of aching feet that couldn't support her any longer (fashion before function, right girl?)..........Geisha_Girl had the same problem (brought the wrong pair of boots!).........and Danny boy, as always, was the "Last Man Standing" and proceeded to continue on at the "After Party" at Club Exit.
The night went by too fast. It was a memorable evening once again with some of the "friendliest people on the planet!" |

Night out in NYC the night before leaving for Roatan. I'm sure there will be stories. | Carmela71 Mon Dec 3, 2007 20:27 UTC I am heavily trying to convince the party girl and the sleeping dog ... lets see what happends! :-) | Norali Mon Apr 23, 2007 05:48 UTC The Murakami was cool but I used to love the graffitti LV (back in 2001, I think).Twas light blue graffiti "LOUIS VUITTON"s set on dark material. I just started working, that year & couldn't afford it. It's still somewhere in my brains. |
