Getting to Venice

by paradisedreamer - last update: May 24, 2003

In order to get to Venice we had to drive from Innsbruck through the Dolomites and on to Venice. The scenery we passed through was beautiful. We started off with the Austrian Tyrol and beautiful villages with their typical onion dome churches.
We were soon in Italy where the architecture became quite different……..
we wound our way though the valleys and along the rivers….
soon we were climbing high into the Dolomite mountain range……..
and before we knew it there was snow all around before heading down and away from the mountains and on to Venice.

Venice photographs beautifully. Our camera was stolen, so I really appreciate your pics. Thanks for helping me to remember.

Very nice Venice pages with beautiful pics. I was there last month but only for a day. I had a gondola ride and enjoyed it, and as I was with a tour, it only cost me USD 16 and was well worth it. Hope to go back for a proper visit soon.
