My PIA flight landing at Quaid-e-Azam Int. Airport

From Lahore to Karachi

I took a flight of PIA from Lahore to Karachi in April in order to catch my international flight next morning of Qatar Airways to Doha, The capital of Qatar.

My planned took off from Allama Iqbal Airport, Lahore at 6.00 p.m and landed 'safely' - Thanks to Allah ! at 7.30 p.m on Quaid-a-Azam International Airport, Karachi.

In the Picture u can c my plane touching down in Karachi at 7.30 p.m.

Karachi Airport is considered to be one of the good and modern airports in the world. When it was made, i think 10 years back, it was equipped with world's latest technolgy. Still its very good and well maintained.

After landing, all the passengers came out of the plane into the tunnel and from the tunnel to the main building of the Quaid-e-Azam intl. Airport.

So, i followed them too ;-) In the picture u can see a few people who were ahead of me walking towards to Baggage belts.

I do not know why always my luggage comes at the end !!! and the same thing was true on this trip to Karachi as well. I had to wait a lot while others were all gone with their bags n suitecases. Anyways , this is a traveller's luck ! ;-)

So, i decided to take my self pic with my digital cam a the baggage belts.

It was interesting to see that Karachi Airport is maintained well and all the sign boards are working properly ;-)

In the picture u can see the board just above the luggage belt where i was waiting for my luggage showing my flight number from Lahore to Karachi.Well done Pakistanis Keep it up !

Finally I was in Karachi

Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, Karachi.

Finally i came out of the airport building with my one suitecase and one hand bag. As soon as i was out of the airconditioned building of Quaid-e-Azam Intl. Airport, i felt Sea Breeze kissing my cheeks, whispering in my ear and saying welcome to Karachi :-) hehehe.... The air has a special saltish smell, which is very different from anywhere in Pakistan. Its just because of hot waters of Arabian sea !

McDonald Restaurant at Karachi Airport

When you come out of the Airport, the first thing which will attract your attention is the McDonald Restaurant in the center of the Parking place in Karachi Airport. If you are too hungry and cannot wait to reach the city or the beach side restaurants in Karachi then u may go there go kill you hunger !

Leaving the Airport

My cousin was there to pick me up and while he drove me away i took this picture of the beautiful airport. I really like this airport. I do not know why but there is something special about it and i like that something ! ;-)

so, i waved and said good bye to Karachi airport until tomorrow morning when i had to take my next flight to Qatar.

Hi Umer Nice to see this website. I am from Bombay, India, and I really want to see Karachi I have great inclination towards Paksitan as few of the cities are my ancestral place. Thanks for giving such usefull information. & I wish you all the best. Tarun

Night life is good in Lahore but i think Karachi is the best place in the country to enjoy night life .it is actually the city that never sleeps even if u walk out at 4 in the mornign u can find a place where u can go and eat out .have party or just relax

we need more pics on very nice page about karachi. we thinks that karachi is best pakistani city after nowshera and peshawar in the nwfp :-) people accept as what u are. no restrictions. u can speak whatever pakistani language u want.
