A gorgeous day for taking pictures of a gorgeous river!

Hartland Covered Bridge

It's hard to get a good appreciation for the span of this wooden bridge without a wide-angled lens!

Below the Bridge

Below the Salmon River bridge

It's pretty difficult to get below most of the covered bridges, but the Salmon River bridge is closed to traffic and is easy to access from all sides.
No interest in "dark tunnels"

Stop and smell the... dandelions

I took my 2 year old (2 and a half, she'll tell you) on a bridge photo safari. She called the bridges "Dark Tunnels" and she had little to no interest in them. She only wanted to run through them at top speed, laughing all the way.

At the Tranton Bridge shoot, however, she discovered some cows lazing in a pasture. She also discovered that cows actually listen to a two year old loudly yelling "Mooo". So, while I took pictures, she took off to see the cows. Fortunately I caught her before she got to them. The tall grass slowed her down.

hi Rob, good to see you! Amazing bridges. I thought at first I was looking at one and the same but they're all different! Nice page, very original :-)

Happy Pre-Birthday week, Rob. Didn't want to interupt the Berni tribute comments on your HP. May you have a wonderful week while you are as young as you are, and may no slugs interupt your celebrations! Best wishes from Tronna!

Yes, Jenny and I are history now, but if I know Jenny, I bet she offered you a good time!

Very interesting pages on bridges (covered)... why are they covered in the first place?
