25) Kyoto(Japan) VT Meeting : June 11 2005

We had this Kyoto VT Meeting to welcome Nathan from Newport Beach,USA. Unfortunately it was rainy today, but we enjoyed beautiful young green maple leaves. We also tasted whipped green tea.
It was so nice to see him :-) He knows very well about Japanese cuisine! He loves music... he can play the guitar and other musical instruments. We would like to listen to his music someday!

This VT Meeting was held to welcome Wiley_Coyote from New York... but unfortunately his flight was cancelled and he couldn't come to Osaka...
So we had our meeting without Wiley_Coyote.
This is our second meeting with Shahed. It was very nice to see him again! My mother Takako was very glad to see him,too. Thank you very much,Shahed. Hope to see you again! And hope to see Wiley_Coyote in the near future....

Thanks to Shweyoo, we totally enjoyed the nights in Bagan. He and his partner warmly welcomed us, treated us to Myanmar food dinner & puppet show, Shan dinner at his house.Beautiful dinner! And at midnight, we climbed a small pagoda and chatted there. We will never forget!
And, We are very glad to see Lina and Terence from Singapore. We had been VT friends for a long time, and at last we met in real!
Thank you very much, Shweyoo, Lina and Terence! We really miss Bagan... and Hope to see you again in the near future!

On our last day of Myanmar trip, we met Zin and Ei in Yangon. We visited this beautiful, elegant and huge Shwe Dagon Pagoda together.We are lucky.. Zin and Ei explained the history, the custom etc about this Pagoda.Thank you.
After that, we ate Myanmar dinner at a romantic restaurant "Green Elephant".

Cherry Blossoms Viewing & Public Bath

We had this Osaka VT Meeting to welcome Triston and Ant from Singapore. It was very nice to see them :-)
We visited a famous cherry blossoms street, and enjoyed the blossoms.(perfect timing to see them!)
After walking under the cherry trees, we ate dinner at a food stall.
Then we moved to a public bath by subway.

We had this Osaka VT Meeting to welcome Janet and Andy from London. We are very happy to meet them. And we were lucky to be in the best timing to view the cherry blossoms!
After meeting up, we moved to the Mint Bureau, where a lot of cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Then, we ate dinner together at a Japanese casual style restaurant. Thank you very much, Janet, Andy and Shahed. Hope to see you again in the near future!

Dinner at the LOCKUP Restaurant

We had this Osaka VT Meeting to welcome Melina from Chicago, USA. But, unfortunately she didn't appear. So without her, we ate dinner together at the famous "LOCKUP" restaurant. It was Melina's idea to eat there. Some restaurant staff disguise themselves as police, monsters etc. At the entrance, Takako was "arrested" with handcuffs and taken to the "prison" (our room). It was our first visit to this restaurant and we enjoyed a lot! We wish Melina were there with us.
And of course we enjoyed chatting with our new VT friend Akihito and our old :-) friend Shahed.

We had this Osaka VT Meeting to welcome Melina from Chicago,USA. We were scheduled to meet up 2 days ago... but unfortunately Melina couldn't come to Osaka on that day. This evening, I had a phone call from Melina and at last we could get together!
This time, Melina was "arrested" with handcuffs and taken to the "prison" (our room)!
She is a great person... so cheerful and happy! We are very happy to see her.
