In front of the Virgin
The crowd in front of the Virgin
While we there, there was a bunch of people picking up "escarchas rojas" (red frost), which are sometimes found surrounding miraculous images of the Virgin, or the places where they have appeared. The "escarchas rojas" are supposed to be produced by the Virgin itself, so they are believed to be a supernatural phenomenon. It's been reported that some images of the Mystic Rose Virgin produce them, too.
