As we entered the Morogoro area, the beautiful Uluguru Mountains rose to the left. Soon we passed thru the roundabout and down the main road into town.
We spent the next week getting to know some of the people of the area and exploring the streets & shops. |
|  | Welcome to the Hotel Hilux Before leaving on the trip, we had been repeatedly warned that our hotel was “primitive”. I don’t the leader’s definition of primitive, but it’s not the same as mine! I was delighted when we stepped into our room at the Hilux hotel. It was spacious, with 2 twin beds, an air conditioner, a TV (albeit only having 3 channels – we did get BBC) and a mini refrigerator. The bathroom had a western style toilet and a large shower. You could even get hot water most of the time! The whole room was very clean. |
