The Pinnacles

Seeing the photographs in this travelog brings back such fond memories. The pinnacles are so amazing. They go as far as the eye could see. And they are everywhere! In all sizes, forms and shapes! You must see it for yourself to believe it!

On a pinnacle!

I took this on one of the huge rocks. The view is incredible. No picture can describe the feeling...

A sea of rocks

This is what I meant when I said they were all over the place!! :) The photos really didn't do them justice. Drive out and see them for yourself. You will not regret it.

Branch in desert

This was taken at a desert near the Pinnacles. This place is not easy to find at all. Found this place just minutes off the road from the Pinnacles. If you're coming back from the Pinnacles, you will see it on the left-hand side.

But all you can see from the road are ALOT of branches, plants, grass, and you have to cross all of these to see the desert. Crossing that took me almost 20 minutes! But it seemed longer than that! Got cuts on my calf. But it was WORTH all that trouble.

As far as the eye could see, it's just a mass of sand and broken branches. If you look closely, the hill to the left of the picture is the prize apparently. Cross over that and you will see the sea. Me? I was just satisfied with lying down on the sand and looking up in the sky. There was not a single soul out there. And all you can hear is silence.
