wintry picture from Lutheran church graveyard in northern Bucks County
there are thousands and thousands of these German language gravestones in southeastern Pennsylvania. Drive up north of Doylestown, find a towering, Lutheran looking church, and discover these found photo opportunities.
They aren't Amish or Anabaptist, just good old fashioned protestants. Eventually their descendents got chewed up and spit out by the voracious US-Amerikanisch assimilation machine.
