there are thousands and thousands of these German language gravestones in southeastern Pennsylvania. Drive up north of Doylestown, find a towering, Lutheran looking church, and discover these found photo opportunities. |
They aren't Amish or Anabaptist, just good old fashioned protestants. Eventually their descendents got chewed up and spit out by the voracious US-Amerikanisch assimilation machine. |
