what I expect in attending a VT meeting [mini or in a huge group :)]? nothing, just enjoy the moment. hang-out somewhere if we can and keep it as nice memories. just like .... with:
~ Hanna; beer vs orange juice
~ Frederik and Frank; fireworks as topping of the ice cream and famous resto oasis
~ Larissa and Imran; fresh prawn and snapper at fish market muara karang
~ Dennis Ananta Kadaruskan: nice moments after Spa and Jakarta meeting years ago. especially photo-box moment
~ Audrey, Peter, Shannon and Mason: a very delicious vege steamboat at Mahligai Resto
~ great singapore vt meeting february 12th with lots of people. dancing in an indian bar and teh tarik after midnite :D
~ axel and esmeralda wenas >> stunned by ancient and glorious paviljoen [hehehe, dutch speaking] in lara jonggrang cafe, menteng :)
~ a wonderful evening with heidi and her attractive 2 years old son in kowloon harbour for dim sum, visit old temple and wandering around tseung wan local market and ended with a very delicious roasted goose dinner that i can not forget how yummy it was :) she taught me how to be a "hongkonger", especially for food :)
~ a nice chat from "arrested by switzerland polizei in basel" to ... basel-lekkereicht with peter :D
~ exploring charming old port of fremantle with anna 'willy_wonka' who has the same passion with me about old-charming-genuine-original-historical-things such as voc's tall ships batavia and vergulde draeck [the gilt dragon] in fremantle's shipwreck museum

Something that I can underlining from these meetings; everybody is unique, the real meet always more fun and enjoyable!!!

* Note for VTers: to anybody who will travel to the east, please take this baton_east with you. She's with me now in Jakarta and I brought her already in my short trip to Mojokerto, east Java. Approximately 560 kms (Jakarta - Surabaya) plus 80 kms (Surabaya - Mojokerto) then back to Jakarta.

New Year Vegetarian Steamboat Dinner
As a KL VT tradition, a host will be appointed each month to organise a dinner at a new venue. January VT dinner is a special one because we will celebrate both the usual New Year with the Chinese Lunar New Year with one round of "Loh Sang."-a Malaysian Chinese tradition.
Venue: Mahligai Vegetarian Restaurant(same row as the Damansara Utama police station)
Location: Damansara Utama-30 minutes by taxi from central KL
Time: 730pm

thanks so much Audrey, Peter, Shannon and Mason :) a very delicious chinese food i'd got after almost 2 weeks enjoy middle-east and african eateries. nice talking with all of you, especially when Audrey asking "are you hungry?" of course, a lot. very much. and never ever try spicy steamboat like this in my country :D

Frank (belgianchocolate), Frederik (b-free) have a unique 'tradition'. before they're heading back to their country after visiting Indonesia, they usually invite me for farewell dinner.
first time, they come with Christa. after their trip in Palangkaraya (Kalimantan) to visiting orangutans in Prof. Birute Galdikas'. we had nice dinner at Bale Air (a place which remind Christa somewhere of Raffles Place in Singapore) and continuing with 'a farewell dessert' at Cafe Batavia, the oldest cafe in Jakarta. Frank and Frederik order 'home-made ice cream with fireworks, cookies and fruits for 6 persons" :D
And our newest meeting, celebrate in Oasis Restaurant. A fancy, one of the oldest and most famous among the culinary enthusiasm in my country. their specialities is rijstaffel. a complete Indonesian meals served with 12 maids. companied by traditional songs performed live and unplugged. what a fantastic, ja :) i love the idea, guys!!!

a great vt meeting in max's makati arranged by aida [vt member asianbelle] and it's turn into "meet and greets" since i come to the venue with my beloved old friends mike potenciano [the racer] and deepa mansukhani [now already became vt member too :)]. so ... we're not only talking about travel passion but also "mike behind the steering wheel". and the nice meeting ended with .... mike's autograph. lili had it in the bill, emie's on her php20 paper based on my advice and in the end, i do the same for my own, hahahaha ....

one great evening with heidi and her beloved son kim jae yong. we're visiting wong tai shin temple, tsing ma bridge and of course finding the delicious dim sum [yum cha] and roasted goose. heidi is an enchanting person with motherly manner ;)

peter [vt member loisl] was in his official trip to jakarta. and he's arranged an evening vt meeting at the lobby of borobudur hotel.

it's a nice meeting and attended more than 10 members. including my good friends from jakarta vt members, like paul [goldenboy], yayu [aj03] and mbak happy [h4pp1].

and i shared to peter about my funny experience in travel around west europe. what else if not being arrested by the police in switzerland border!

a special thank i would like to say for peter on behalf of my family. he sent a very beautiful encouraging words whenever my dad passed away. and it's already printed in my dad's 40 days leaving home prayer book.
