The Cacti-Phoenix Botanical gardens/south mountain

by HeidiR - last update: Apr 21, 2004

This picture was taken on South Mountain. Some of the cacti are already starting to flower to to the large amount of rain this year.

Cacti usually flower from April.

Dessert botanical gardens

This picture and the following pictures are taken at the dessert botanical gardens in Phoenix.

It costs $7.50 for each adult to get into. You will see lots of different cacti of the desserts from around the world.
I have many chapters in my virtualtourist history. I am currently living in Phoenix for a few years. My Phoenix and Arizona sections will grow rapidly.

please come back and keep an eye on my page.

I have broken the Phoenix page down into lots of sections including Chandler, Tempe, Scotsdale etc make sure you visit all the sections.
As well as the different cities/towns in Phoenix I have created extensive pages in more touristy areas such as Sedona, Flagstaff.

Again these pages will expand over the next few years.

You are living in an amazing state. Good page. BTW: When we visited Antelope Canyon VT-member Grazina, who is a native Navajo showed us around. So we had our own tour. Was really great and very informative.

Good tips! Amazing pictures and very nice overview! Personally I liked Canyon de Chelly, Petrified Forest and Monument Valley very, very much.
