Hiking in the Austrian Alps is an extremely pleasant experience that I would recommend to anyone who is physically fit and loves a good walk. The following are pictures of my hikes through the Alps. I hope that they encourage you to take a hike too. |
I was not expecting this stupendous ice glacier. What happened was that I hiked up a mountain ridge and when I reached the crest and walked over to the other side, I came upon this stunning spectacle. It was worth the hard walk.
Of course it is very dangerous to walk over these glaciers. Do not do it without a guide. |  | |
I actually had tripped and fell just before taking this picture. I had smashed my shin against a rock but did not think nothing of it. When I later got to my hotel, I had a bump the size of an baseball on my shin where I hit it. I still to this day have a dent in the shin bone where it made contact with the rock. | | |
| | This valley is actually above Krimml Falls and is a very pleasant walk. The mountains in the distances are actually in Italy. |
