Soldier Hollow -- the venue for cross-country skiing races during the Olympics in February 2002. This gorgeous picture was taken just a few hours before the first ever cross-country skiing olympic gold was won by an Estonian -- his name should be well known to all skiing fans -- Andrus Veerpalu. This was probably one of the most memorable days in my life!

Many houses in and around Salt Lake City had flags out from the countries they were cheering for. As you can see, in the house on the picture, we had people cheering for the athletes from Estonia and Switzerland:)
