Travel and Adventure Certificates

With all of the 'geography geeks' on VT, the following section will surely be appreciated. 'Confucious' has his certificate from the Prime Meridian on his Greenwich page, and it inspired me to pull out my certificates.

Like others here, it is my goal to see and understand as much of this planet as possible during my lifetime. This includes attaining certain geographic feats. I've crossed all lines of Longitude, but I still have 18 lines of Latitude to cross......

Equator - Ecuador

The Equator passes through Ecuador, I visited it just north of the city of Quito.

I also crossed the Equator in Uganda and took a photograph, but have no certificate.

Prime Meridian - Greenwich

Certificate received in Greenwich, England, after having stood in both the East and West hemisphere.

Great Wall of China - Badaling

I visited the Great Wall of China just north of Beijing in 1990. Here's my certificate:

I made it to the bottom of the earth on 23 December, 2004. I don't have a certificate, just a photo and surveyor's mark.
