THE SPECIAL PROJECTS

Just before this meeting I finished a map with all the Dutch VT-destinations (7500+). The weather was too good to discuss them, so I will triple cross check the names with other Dutch databases.

LINKING UP WITH OTHER VT-MEETINGS

As far as I know this was the first time 4 VT-meetings were all linked together (by mobile phone).
Here we are at the Nieuwmarkt tasting the raw herring (excellent quality!) and calling the Mumbai meeting.
We learned that their meeting started in the evening, because midday temperatures were 32 degrees C.
Thanks crazyindy (now an ex-member) and all the others!

CALLING MUMBAI

Hallo crazyindy, it's sunny but only 8 degrees C. Great people here!

CALLING EDINBURGH

At the Dam Square I called Chris and Brandon (cjg1 and europebn), who had their meeting in Edinburgh. They expected more people, but it turned out they were the only 2 left. Hope you enjoyed that rugby game!

In the background Hotel Krasnapolsky, where Martin_nl still was working hard.

CALLING ISTANBUL

We had to wait till dinner to get in contact with Betul (80-bettyboo), the organizer of the Istanbul meeting. It was hard to have a decent conversation, because at both sides people were really celebrating. Thanks to beatle74, who had brought her mobile phone to the Istanbul meeting to make this link possible.

Now we challenge you all to organize a World-wide VT-meeting.

Writing Postcards

Besides calling we wrote some postcards to members at the other meetings. It turned out our Belgian members had an exclusive birthday party.

M.I.B.

The Baton_East & Baton_West project inspired me to find even a cheaper way of transport. So our message to the VT-staff will go per Message In a Bottle (MIB).

Read all about M.I.B.

Well these are very informative hotel reviews.

Plan to spend a couple of night with my grandaughter in Amsterdam in July...will come by train from Paris and then on to Hamburg. I do not want to have to carry luggage upstairs. Would like to be near the 'heart' of things.
David has upped the ante and now with a house full of visitors I am thinking of letting my travel agent 'look after us'...but maybe I should not waste my VT help.

Three or 4 stars ...character...not a tall high rise 'nothing'
