Worth a day or more

Museums along the El Prado
Unless you're just spending a few days in the San Diego area, Balboa Park is easily worth a day's visit - in addition to the famous San Diego Zoo.

This 150 year old park includes 15 museums, several theatres, numerous gardens, restaurants, snack bars, playgrounds and green areas in which to just relax and hang out. And - it's centrally located a few minutes from downtown San Diego.

I have only spent one day in San Diego and found it to be a lovely city. If I visit again I would really like to visit the zoo.

Very interesting tips. Karen an I plan to be in San Diego the last week in March for our 3rd anniversary. We can't afford to stay at the Hotel del Coronado, but we'll have lunch there and enjoy the ambience.
