There are two wonderful things about the view from Tour Montparnasse: 1) the beauty & perspective; 2) Montparnasse tower is not in it.Anthony took the original pic that made me goto Tour Montparnasse to shoot this one: his superior and original effort is here: |

Ville de lumiere
Paris at night from Tour Montparnasse. Even with a tripod the gusts of wind were so strong on the 59th story roof it was impossible to hold the camera steady ... (and don't forget the building roof you are standing on is swaying in the wind also, tripod or no tripod ... )
I recommend you go there yourself (day & night) so you can see what I was lucky enough to see (without the blur). The view is especially magical at the top of the hour when le Tour goes batshi# |

Rue des Rosiers
CLOSED FOREVER 01/'06 On a "Marais day" I used to stop in for 50 grams of their delicious sausage. The lady behind the counter offered me a free sampler plate of her favorites, and they also were delicious.
A very historic square in the Marais. I took the deli treats over to Place des Vosges for a picnic by the fountain. |

yeoldbean Fri Jun 19, 2009 09:19 UTC The service was absolutely wonderful. The food was of great quality with the service & ambience even better. The crème Brule was so completely smooth, light, exquisitely flavoured with hints of vanilla and caramel.” Five stars from me! | jumpingnorman Tue Jan 27, 2009 06:18 UTC Yes, Sacre Cour is not to be missed! Excellent pics --- I did stand in that very alleyway...Norman :) | AgentBrittany83 Sat Sep 6, 2008 01:06 UTC Your Paris pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I'll be there in December.
