Mario Benedetti was born in Tacuarembó in 1920. He is the best known writer and poet inside and outside Uruguay. Some of his books are "La tregua " (The truce), "Gracias por el fuego" (Thanks for the fire), "La borra del café" (The coffee sediment), "Poemas de la oficina" (Poems from the office). Some of his novels inspirated movies.

La higuera

Eduardo Galeano nació en 1940. Escritor y periodista, su obra es bien conocida en toda latinoamérica. Algunos de sus libros son: "Las venas abiertas de América Latina", "Memoria del fuego", "El libro de los abrazos".

El error
