oja (Slovenia) | oja looks better in reality! |
we knew each other already during oja's "first VT life" and had very lively and intense e-mail contacts. Since we do not live in such a long geographic distance from each other it was clear that we one day started to visit each other (some remarks - traces - of that can be found on our travel pages). Oja was the first VT-member I met. It would be logical to place all in the temporal order according to which I have met my VT friends but I am not able to re-construct all that correctly. I hope to meet oja again as soon as her baby (Marko) allows her (and Igor) to travel. |

Sabsi (Germany) One of my first VT-friends. Sabsi came together with her sister VT member Bigs to Innsbruck at the occasion of a ski jumping competition so it was clear that they met also VT's best known ski jumping addicts Nykaenen and s-e-n-i. here and we made a funny spontaneous micro VT member meeting of it (me being the only one non-ski-jumping-addict in the round). | | | prepared for Irish weather |

| | yumyum (Switzerland) Sonja came from Zürich for a short visit to Tirol and since she was staying near Jenbach we used the chance to go up to the Achensee lake (see also my page) to have a drink there and short enjoy hte nice landscape. We had a drink and a nice chat on a terrace near the lake in Pertisau but unfortunately it was soon starting to rain (as always in this summer 2004). I forgot to bring my camera so I hope soon to get the pics Sonja has taken. |
First "real VT-meeting" in my home on 25/26 August 2004 the first of what can be called a VT-meeting took place in my home. VT-members alza ("le Planet") and Anjutka (Petrozavodsk) visited me and stayed in my home. MEdelmann Fred is the first Austrian VT member I met. It was not a VT member meeting. I met Fred in one of his professional activities. On 26 February 2005 I visited the Innsbrucker Weinmesse (Innsbruck Wine Fair), an event on which wine producers from Austria and abroad were presenting their wines. Usually I do not visit such events (I was sometimes on local/regional wine festivals and 1993 I was visiting such an event in Barcelona because it took place only a block away from my hotel). But this event here was the chance to meet my VT friend for the first time personally. Of course I tasted his excellent Zweigelt and other wines and bought some bottles to enjoy them at home to the right food. And now I really visited Fred in his own place to taste his wines, to buy a bigger quantity and to stay over night there. | | |
Soo many nice VT-ers at once!! This weekend (6 - 9 May 2005) I was in Verona (Valeggio sul Mincio) at the First Official European VT meeting.It was a great opportunity to meet many nice and interesting VT members, with very nice talks and plenty of great fun. And everything was perfectly prepared and organized by our great 3 Italian VT members utttz, barbara and Pollon.. Thank you, Barbara, Chiara and Paolo! See more on the many Valeggio sul Mincio pages of it expected to come on VT under the next days! (I was still too lazy to build such a page). |
