My early birds friends.

Chinese New Year - brief explanation.

Chinese New Year (alternatively called Spring Festival) is widely celebrated by and important to Chinese all over the world. It last for 15 days - day 1 to day 15 of the Chinese lunar calender. Celebrations of the new year is usually very elaborated with lotsa food.
Another groups of early birds.

What do we do?

On Chinese New Year's Eve, everybody will go home for the reunion dinner. This dinner is very important for all families. Since me and my friends are overseas, we will be busy on the phone on Chinese New Year's Eve and on the first few days. On the first few days, visiting the temples and relatives and friends are practiced. Hence students overseas will be eagerly waiting by the telephone to greet our parents and relatives "Gong Xi Fa Cai".
So I better dun disturb my friends' schedule... :-)
