Some of my favourites... I think it's so important to take photos -- they help us to remember...
even though we have our memories, photos make tangible a certain moment...
they capture that part of time and make it last forever... |
My cousin Chloe In case anyone thinks that this little cute baby is mine, let me tell you that she is my little cousin!
Given our huge age gap, she could well be my kid! hehehehe...
She's really adorable and when she came for a visit recently, she made our days so much happier with her child-like happiness and wonder... |
Kyra Gabrielle's Baptism This is a photo of Alex and myself and baby Kyra at her baptism on 9th March Sunday, in St. Francis Xavier Church.
She's the daughter of my best friend Karen, whom I've known since we were in secondary school!
:) Here I'm the proud Godmother of Kyra. | | |
Cousin Chloe at 19 months April 2003 This is Chloe about 2 months back when she came for a brief visit.
She was just pottering about the house until she found my red haversack! :)
Just watching her being so fascinated by something as simple as my haversack was fun! She would zip and unzip the bag and she took each of the contents out with her delicate pincer grip, examined it, placed it on the floor and went on rummaging through the storehouse of stuff i carry around!
It was entertaining just watching her explore! :)
And after she had taken everything out and carefully inspected them, she proceeded to put everything back in! Of course with the exception of some of the stuff she wanted to discover further... hehehehe...
Honestly, i was amazed at how she managed to unscrew the cap of my lip gloss! And put it back on again, albeit not screwing it perfectly!
But then again, she's just a wee baby and to have such good motor skills at that age... well... it was just awesome! |
Chloe's now 20 months old... My favourite cousin sings Barney's "I love you" song with me... well, she tries.
She knows the actions to the song and will give the "great big hug and a kiss from me to you" :)
She came for a 2 day visit and I had great fun playing with her! I absolutely love her!
We played make-believe with an empty baby bath bottle and it was so fun! It's amazing how much fun it was playing imaginary games with her, and i thoroughly enjoyed myself as did she!
Here's Chloe, drinking water from her bottle. She's really innovative! She wanted to wash her hands when i was carrying her and i couldn't reach her bottle, so what she did was to take her bottle and asked me to bite on it as she was doing! hehehehe... She's innovative and imaginative this little one! And definitely full of surprises...
I was carrying her and singing the Barney song with her -- it's actually more of me singing and Chloe joining in where it matters -- the actions of giving a hug and a kiss, and singing the end words of each line... "me...", "(fami)-ly", "you", "too"... hehehe
I was singing the song a couple of times cos' she enjoyed it so (just as I do) and then she nestled her head on my shoulder, humming along softer and softer, til she fell asleep...
I think that's one of the nicest feelings -- to carry a sleeping baby in your arms...
Chloe makes me feel so extremely maternal, it's amazing! And she's just my little cousin!
She'd be coming by Singapore again in August! Boy! I can't wait till then! |
Hong Kong December 2003 This is a picture of Chloe aged 2 years and 2 months in Hong Kong.
It's very near Christmas... and she's playfully posing with the bauble on the Christmas tree! :) |
Day Trip to Macau Well, took a day trip to Macau and felt that the trip was really not worth the time and the money.
The casinos there were really scary and crowded... so different from the Las Vegas ones. | | | Famous facade of the Church |
