"Fractured Fairy Tales:The Geisha Princess in Nepal" Nepal Travelogue by Geisha_Girl
Nepal Travel Guide: 3,920 reviews and 10,570 photos
Once upon a time there lived a Geisha Princess whose passion to travel the world in her adult life led her into a ceaseless quest for the kind of secret knowledge by which she hoped to uncover the very source of existence and the meaning of her role on earth. Her curiosity and esoteric interests to investigate a new kind of spiritualism led the Geisha Princess to seek out the highest mystical heights on the planet…….in the Kingdom of Nepal.
With backpack in hand and her *magical* “Miracle Boots” (which were made for walkin’!) ……..she was at the physical mercy of her legs and feet to carry her through this journey. The Geisha Princess eagerly leaves the luxuries of home behind her ---- postpone the meetings, let the phone calls go to voicemail, turn off the pager, and put this somewhat neurotic existence on hold ---- as she cast her longing eyes at this fairy tale land which she knew was in her destiny to discover.
(Personal Note: A "Thank You" sent out to my pal, Yubert, for recommending the *magical hiking boots* If he hadn't offered suggestions, the Geisha Princess would have been walking off with a pair from the Dolce & Gabbana Winter collection. Fashionable? Yes. Snow-proof, rain-proof, yak dung-proof? I would say not. So, thanks for saving the Princess toes, Yubert!)
After almost a full-day’s journey, she arrives into the kingdom as darkness covers the land upon her arrival. The Geisha Princess is greeted by an array of colorful sights and sounds, once she disembarks into the city.Without knowing what lies ahead for her in the next few days, the Geisha Princess puts her fate into the hands of the courtly gentlemen who were the “chosen ones” to lead her down her path of discovery:
THE HEROIC GUIDE: He knew every nook, turn, and cranny of the vast hills of the Himalayas. He later reveals his “magic potion” that guides him through those cold Himalayan winter nights…….

Together they all share a special bond and spend the next days trekking through the closest thing to heaven on this planet. Through the highest mountains, the lowest valleys, over the river and through the woods, through the cold, wet, rain, sleet, snow……through sickness and in health……and above all else----laughter----the crew helps the Geisha Princess discover more than just another diverse cornerstone on earth.
She couldn’t have been more blessed with an amazing trekking crew to accompany her through this unforgettable experience.
