WTC-now

World Trade Center - Now

This is what the area where the World Trade Center used to be. It's all cleaned up and new designs are being reevaluated.
The World Trade Center was actually 7 buildings, including the two pictured.
A view of the Statue of Liberty and Downtown from Ellis Island circa 1992. Ellis Island was were immigrants were processed upon arrival back in the day.
A view of downtown from the Hudson river. In the center, you can see the Woolworth Building, whose architecture is amazing. It was the tallest building in the world for some 20 years.

Words to Remember

"No situation of hurt, no philosophy or religion can ever justify such a grave offense on human life and dignity," Pope John Paul II, September 11th, 2002
=========================
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." ~Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC
