As you can see I am a learner but I did spend a number of hours with my pastels painting my photograph of a Coffs Harbour Sunrise.
I have called it "My Early Morning Walk with friend."

Just wonderful.

Now I need some objective criticism from the artists (and I know that there are many of you here) to feed back to me if I should persevere with this quest or stay with photography and basketweaving.

My first efforts...so be kind.

Pencil all of these shapes into some harmonious arrangement and do the black white and shades of grey. Ok here it is.

Ok, not a tree by a river by any means, but one by a lane in charcoal and pencil. I personally find this a bit scary.

My first pastel........but I didn't use a fixative and guess what! Most of it ended up in the plastic cover that now you see it through. Is it worth starting again?

night before? Well this represents three views approaching the destination of the serpent the afternoon of the morning before..........sound confusing? Well I know what I mean.

It is not everyday that you get an opportunity to see things from more than one point of view........try 3.

The back picture if scanned fractionally to the right would show where the outfall will fall. The rear vision is of the hills behind and overall it's just a jolly good shot don't you think?
