| | Look upward! It's no use LOOKING for a rainbow . . . they never appear when you're looking for one. The trick is to just let it appear when you least expect it and it will be the most brilliantly colored rainbow you've ever seen. I've yet to see a triple rainbow, and count it a blessing that I've seen as many double rainbows here as I have! |
Rainbow chasers I happened to be driving home one day and had the opportunity to be chased by this gorgeous rainbow! I kid you not! As I focused in on this beauty, it came closer and closer. Close as I was, I didn't bother trying to locate the pot of gold since the sport of traipsing through the pineapple fields did not appeal to me in the least. | | | No pot of gold found here |
|
| | Rainbow Horizons We found this particular rainbow in Ewa Beach one day. |
Volcanic Rainbows HA! You can run, but you can't hide! This chased us all the way to the Big Island. We found this colorful weak one over a volcano crater! (2001)
| | Hanging out over Punchbowl This one we found sneaking around the corner of Punchbowl. |
Even at the soccer fields! Because thunderstorms are so rare here in Hawaii, you don't have to pack up your soccer game at the slightest suggestion of rain. This rainbow just appeared during the middle of my sons soccer game!
