| El Rastro (Madrid. Spain) |
| | Where am I? I'll talk about me for a while. I'm from Madrid; I was born here, and I've been living in this great city during almost all my life. I'm so used to it, that I'm not really sure if I could be happy in any other place, though I'm not afraid at all about testing this theory... |
| | When did I start to travel? I never traveled outside Spain until late 2000, when I moved to a work that implied to travel a lot to the US (Salt Lake City, UT, to be more precise). So the first time I left my country, I traveled during 14 hours, across 7000 Km and 8 Time Zones. Well, actually as soon as I arrived SLC, I went to Las Vegas with my partners... a road trip that added 6 hours, 600 km and another Time Zone to my jet lag. That was great!!!! :-D |
| San Francisco (California, US) |
| | Did I like It? Of course I did! During the following year, I traveled a lot to United States. Those were always work travels, but they give me the chance of visiting a good deal of the country, especially when I was offered a permanent position in SLC. Working abroad, living by my own for the first time, visiting some of my dreamed places, like NYC or California... I'd never felt that alive in my life. |
| | Was it always that good? After finishing my work in the US and a short (but intense) business travel to Romania, I found myself trapped during six months in Madrid. Until May of 2002. I traveled then to %L[http://www.virtualtourist.com/ m/3c2c4/71211/"]Amsterdam%L* (for business) and London (for pleasure) in the same week, and I decided I will never stop again... |
| | Greek Travels On July, I visited my friend Justin & family in Athens. I meet him while working in Utah and we became immediately good pals. Then he moved with his wife and his daughter to a big and nice house in Athens, where I spent a lovely week, visiting the nearby islands, enjoying the light, food and culture of Greece. |
| | Learning to love Italy I get another week of holidays on September, and I decided to visit Italy, a country that has fascinated me since a very early age. I chose Rome and Florence as destinations, with a train travel between the two cities. Although I traveled by my own, I never felt alone, as I kept myself really busy trying to capture the beauty of Italy, meeting new people and learning some Italian. |
| Miami Beach (Florida, US) |
| | What have I done lately? The last travel of that year was a long awaited visit to sunny (and fuzzy) Miami. It was my return to the States, after the 11/9 attacks. I found the country almost as I left it... apart from interminable airport controls. |
