We did the Inka-trail with 8 persons on our own. We´ve been from Spain, Italy, Finland, Israel, Australia, Peru and Germany, all met in Cusco or already before travelling Bolivia and Peru.
In Cusco we rent the equipment (plaza de armas you can find a lot shops to rent all you need) and started early in the morning from the station of San Pedro in Cusco.
Leaving the train at km 83 (or 82 or 84, not sure anymore) we started the travel.
Around ´5 o´clock we stopped for preparing the first night, cooking, making the tents etc, unfortunately it started to rain and this night was quite horrible with only a few sleep.
Nevertheless the next day was the hardest one because we´ve got to climb up to 4000m first time at mid-day and again in the afternoon the second high point at almost 4000m again. But it was great!!
a spanish and an italian guy resting a while
still climbing...uff, only metres until the highest pass on our way...but I have really enough at that moment, almost no sleep the night before, rainy weather since yesterday evening....but....IT IS REAL FUN AS WELL!!
here we are at the top of the first pass, the Wrmi Wan Usca (Dead Woman's Pass).
