"My Trip to Bali" Personal Page by sapupu
These fishing boats are all over the island. This is a shot taken from the beach in Padangbai (my favorite place in Bali!). You can catch the ferry to Lombok here or simply hang out at the various restaurants and relax. The perfect place to unwind from the stresses of life. Make sure you check out the Reggae Bar further down the beach - great nightly entertainment right on the beach, bonfire included.
Everywhere in Bali is a photo op. We stopped along the side of the road to Ubud here to take a photo of the rice terraces.
This was taken at "OMangMang", a quaint but very cool retaurant/bar in Padangbai. They have live shows here of guitarists, Imam and Made, who are extremely good - especially when it comes to Lenny Cravitz and the Beatles. Myself, my cousin, Maya, and Maya's cousin Dodi enjoying a lemon juice.
Yet another photo op! Taken from the road - another pit stop we had to make for a chance to get a great photo. Beautiful reflection in the water atop the rice terraces.
View of the Wos River - a most tranquil place. We stayed here at the Michi Resort for three nights - we only planned to stay for one - guess we liked it! This place is amazing - very eclectic. It is owned by a Japanese professor who has been living in Bali for some time now. It was his dream to build this resort. It is built on the side of the cliff just outside Ubud with a beautiful panorama of rice terraces. We stayed in an amazing two storey villa and got a great deal as the resort was still under construction. We were the only ones there other than a man from Guam and his son. Oh - and the Spa! Balinese massage and a Mandi Lular....truly heaven...the only sound you hear is the roaring river below. Then to top it all off, when you think life simply cannot get any better, you are brought out onto a deck that over looks the rice terraces, sat down in a chair wrapped in a warm towel and given hot ginger tea with honey....Oh Michi....
A better view of Michi Resort taken from a path that leads down to the river that the local village uses.
This mediaition room was just outside our room at the Michi Resort.
This is our family! Taken at a chinese restaurant in Denpasar. Left to right back row: Anti, Abdi, Sally. Left to right Front: Dodi, Reski, Maya, Mama Agae, Ooki.
