"Confucius Temple (chinese: ¹ü¤Æ¤Õ¼q)" Changhua Travelogue by sunnywong

Changhua Travel Guide: 27 reviews and 82 photos

Changhua Confucius Temple was built in AD1726 more than 200 years ago, ranked as class-1 ancient remains. The present Confucius Temple rebuilt through the experts' study and design is still preserved its old appearance. The main hall is Dacheng Hall, dedicated to the memorial tablets of ancient saints and sages. In the middle of it is the Confucius Shrine with an attached tablet "Dau-gwan-gu-jin" bestowed by the Emperor Chyanlung in Ching dynasty. The imposing-scaled architecture looks solemn and magnificent.
