Deus_Ultima Okay, this first pic should be noted for the fact that Ioan (Deus_Ultima) actually set foot on dreaded Ontario soil (horrors!) We only had time for lunch as I was working but it was an interesting lunch, anyone who knows Ioan would realize it wouldn't be anything but interesting, lol! Bugalugs and MuddyJoe Here's VT members Dianne (Bugalugs), her hubby Wayne and their son, Joe (VT'er MuddyJoe) whom I've had the pleasure of meeting up with several times in Manchester, England. They are always ready to take me out for a meal or a bit of sightseeing :-) |
Steventilly & Susan_Tilly Two very close friends who I had the opportunity to visit and stay with in May 2002. I spent a week with them and they drove me all over the countryside showing whatever I wanted to see. From the Lake District, to Hadrian's Wall to Whitby and York. I love these two to death and was thrilled to visit with them again in October of 2002 on a week long trip to Manchester. They drove all the way from Darlington to spend the weekend with me :-) This pic is from the start of our 8 mile hike near Hadrian's Wall. |
Sandysmith and hubby Dave This lovely couple put up with me during a harrowing hike up Mt Snowdon. I stayed with them at their house in the Wirral and then we took two days to spend in Wales. It was a fabulous time and though during our Snowdonia hike mountain rescue almost had to come and save us, lol! They also came to Manchester in October and Steve, Susan, Sandy, Dave and I had a lovely dinner together. This pic is taken in the depths of the Sygun Copper Mine near Beddgelert in Wales. |
Dave, Gareth and Jules There are 3 VT'ers with me in this pic. I needed a place to stay on my trip to Manchester in May 2002 and Dave offered up his spare room to me. I also had the opportunity to meet several of his great friends, two who were already VT'ers. We had a fantastic time partying it up, betting at the dog track and traipsing around Chester. Thanks for so much fun guys! Again, saw Dave in October on my return trip. |
John My pub crawl partner John, nieldy, is someone I first met at a VT meeting at the start of my May UK trip. He volunteered himself to keep me company when I wanted to check out some historic pubs. We had a great time wandering around drinking all afternoon and evening, eventually meeting up with my friends and drinking some more ;-) |
London Meeting Pictured here are Simonbuckle, MelanieJayne (Edwinadolly's sis), Edwinadolly (Eddie), jrs1234 (Jeremy), John, and Khoya_Mike (Mike) at the Shakespeare's Head on Carnaby St. It was the 2nd time I'd met Jeremy and Eddie and we had a great time just chatting and drinking. |
Bianca Had the chance to meet Bianca for lunch during her workday in London on that May trip. The time together was much too short and I hope we get the opportunity to meet again :-) |
