It was in September last year after a lesson on the United States.
We always study the customs of the people of English-speaking countries. My students are from 14 to 17 years old. They study at a high school uptown.

|  | In the Open We are lucky to live uptown in a quiet place called "medical compound" and to have an opportunity of going to the woods often.
Two other families and us often gather for a picnic in the open. We usually go "to the waterfall" or "to the ravine".
Both are wonderful places uptown. |
"The Sea of Luhansk" There is a small lake on the River Olkhovka an hour's walk from where we live.
When the weather is fime in summer, we can go bathing and lie in the sun there. | | |

To the Woods We like this place. Those are big ravines with a stream at the bottom.

Santa Claus I was Santa Claus on Christmas more than once in the Ukrainian Germans' Society in Luhansk. | | |
| | A Fine Welcome! I was invited to speak about my trip to the United States to one of the city secondary schools.
The students were very active and nice! |
