Alligator River Swing Bridge
Shore of the canal

Under construction

We passed a boat named BLUE IRIS in the channel. Heard the Coast Guard talking to a boat names SHOWTIME which I think is in trouble off Hattaras. As we are approaching the Alligator River Swing Bridge, we hear a 70 foot boat (which passed us and swamped us) VICTORY AT SEA down at marker R8- he is aground because he doesn't know that the channel has been renumbered.
RosalieAnn in the marina
Got to Alligator River Marina after 54.3 sm (a total of 1482 nm).
Sunset in the marina
TWO OLD BEARS, who was at Oriental next to us comes in too. They have a big orange cat and a husky who doesn't like boats.
Marina gas dock and lighthouse
Also HIGHLANDER (a monohull)traveling with power boat named HOLLANDAISE, ARCTURUS, a boat with no name visible but which I think is called CRUISER, BLUE IRIS, and BEDOUIN are at this marina.
Restaurant 2004
We got fuel (97 cents/gal) and ate dinner at the truck stop.
Side of waterway in Coinjock 2004
This morning the marina gave us a free Sunday paper. Next stop Coinjock

It's the Alligator River, not the Alligator Refuge. I didn't name the river
