Oxford Street- in the heart of London- is Britain's busiest high street with a wordlwide reputation as the heart of West End shopping. The most famous shops include Debenhams, D H Evans, John Lewis, Selfridges, Marks & Spencer and Burton. They are primarily located on the north side of the west of Oxford Street. The HMV record and multimedia store at Oxford Street is the oldest record shop in the entire world!

The route of today's Oxford Street was at one time a Roman highway which linked Hampshire with Colchester. Over time it, together with what is now Piccadilly became the main routes in and out of the City.

U'll be surprised that this bridge is known as the Tower bridge and not London bridge, something I goofed up on.

Tower Bridge is one of the world’s most famous bridges. Hordes of vehicles cross it every day. It took 8 years to build Tower Bridge. The roadway parts and lifts to let tall ships, cruise liners and other large craft pass through. It has a permanent exhibition inside called The Tower Bridge Experience.
