This pumpkin from New Hampshire grown by Bruce Whittier was a pending record at 1458 pounds. Unfortunately it developed a small hole and eventually a split along one of the ribs which disqualified it from official records. It remains however, the heaviest pumpkin ever weighed.

Some of the bigger pumpkins can be hollowed out and paddled like a kayak or canoe. It should revolutionize the transportation industry!! It's recommended they be at least 600 pounds for this.
