In Autumn and winter there is an assortment of geese and ducks, wrens and sparrows as well as other less vocal residents like Anhingas, ibises, Wood Storks, egrets, herons, Wood Ducks, Mississippi Kites, Sharp-shinned and Cooper’s Hawks, and in winter, Bald Eagles. |  | |

|  | Uncertain is not only the area around this part of the lake but is also what the boat trips are, as they sometimes must be suspended because of low water in the lake. |
Turtle Shell Recreational boating is done at the eastern end where the dam is and around Uncertain. |  | |
