Soon after I built my Tanumshede (Swedish Westcoast) page (about the rock carvings) Anjutka put also a picture of rock carvings of the same type in Karelia, almost 2000 km away, on her page and this was more or less the start of very intense contacts. .We did already a lot of interesting travel together. |

|  | Bigs (Germany) Birgit came with her sister Sabsi to Innsbruck and this was the first occasion I met more than one VT-er at once (Bigs, Sabsi, Nykaenen and s-e-n-i) and it became a nice micro-VT-member meeting in the "Krahvogel" Needless to say that I was the only one non-ski-jumping-addict in the round. |
Giulia_ua Yulia was my guide through Kyiv's restaurants, clubs and cafes - and her nice and informative Kyiv homepage was an excellent guide through the city, too, of course.
In January 2003 Giulia_ua came to Telfs and I succeeded to teach her the basics of skiing. This and her previous experience in figure skating enabled her aready after a few hours training to ski nicely and safe on "blue" tracks in the surroundings (on Ranggerkoepfl above Oberperfuss near Innsbruck). | | | Yulia's first day on skis |

| | IngaA (Ukraine) Inga, A VT-member who is in some sense a colleague of mine because we both are (were) working with Tacis-projects of the EU but we share other much more pleasant interests, for example good food and wines. Our first meeting at the occasion of a visit to Kyiv was only very short. .In the meanwhile we met in Budapest, a nice meeting with a very unpleasant end (see my Budapest page!) |
Ksana (Ukraine) After some exchange of e-mails we met in Kyiv in April 2001 and had nice talks and a riverboat ride on the Dnipro river to enjoy the nice waterfront of Oksana's home city together. Oksana made also my former passport pic in the same minute - and with the same camera -on our Dnipro riverboat excursion. | | |

| | Lehmus (Czech Republic) we met each other on VT because we both have our roots in the same city (Brno/Bruenn), Lehmus 100 % and me 50 % and Lehmus has produced one of the best, most charming, most personal and most informative VT-pages on a medium sized city. The other we share in common is a strong interest in Finland and a certain command of its exotic language. |
Minchanka (Belarus/Portugal) I was never in her home city Minsk but after quite intense e-mail and phone contacts we could meet shortly in Kyiv while Victoria was visiting her relatives there. The problem this day was that I was suffering from a food poisoning with fever and other discomfort :-(( | | |

| | Nykaenen (Croatia) Zdenka is for me the most famous Croatian snowlady after Janica Kostelic. We met in Innsbruck when 4 VT-ers came to attend the ski jumping at the famous Bergisel. We (Nykaenen, s.e.n.i, Sabsi, Bigs and me) enjoyed a nice evening with beers etc. in the "Krahvogel" bar and I am sure that this was not our last meeting (at least as long as people jump with skis from the Bergisel down towards the churchyard below ). |

Hi Lothar, it's been a long time :) I came back from Finland (Lemmenjoen kansallispuisto) recently but haven't built the page yet. I have hundreds of pictures and no time to select them :( |
