|  | ZAKHINTOS This tiny island in the ionian sea is one of my favourites. Is not very crowded and has got some wonderful wild beaches.

KNOSSOS The ruins of the mytical Knossos labyrinth deserve a visit, though Sir Walter Evans reconstructed it too much, but you can still evoque the minotaur in its tiny corridors. | | |
| | AKROTIRI This red ruins located in the island of Thira (Santorini) are special, because they are covered and very well conserved. |
METEORA In a vaste area in the north of Greece you can find several monasteries hanging up in incredible rocks. The views at sunset are great! | | |
| | MISTRA If you are looking for byzantine Greece, take a look at Mistra. The ruins are excellent, and the natural environment too! |
EPIDAUROS One of the nicest theatres in Greece, not only by the architecture, but because of the natural surroundings. | | |
| | SOUNION When in Athens, don't miss a visit to Cape Sounion, just a couple of hours by bus. Is a must to go there at sunset, because it is said to have the most wonderful sunset in Greece... |
DELFOS This ruins in a top of Parnasus mountains have a great atmosphere, very mystic.
