|  | Bougainvillas There is this plant nursery/garden that I pass on the road on the way to the town. Always, the bougainvilla plants in there strike my fancy. One time, I decided to finally stop and visit. The many varieties of bougainvilla is a delight to see. Interesting to note that the colorful petals that you see are still leaves of the plant. | | Sanggumay Sanggumay is a type of orchid. People can tell when a Sanggumay plant is in bloom even though they are not in view yet. The sanggumay flower emits a very strong fragrant scent (which reminds me of bubblegum, for some reason) that you can smell 20 feet away - I guess if the wind is blowing in that direction This particular painting is of purple ones. |
| | Kalachuchi The Kalachuchi tree bears beautiful blooms. Here is one with flowers a brilliant fuchsia and yellow. This is a bigger painting. |
