Danubius Hotel Gellért

Located at the foot of Gellért Hill, this Art Nouveau style hotel has been an important landmark in Budapest for more than 80 years, and houses the world-famous Gellért Spa, offering splendid indoor bathing.

Gigantic luxury hotel situated on the edges of the Danube, the side Buda. Of style " Viennese Art nouveau " (Secession), inaugurated in 1918 and completed in 1927, it has a rich internal, original and colored decoration. Very tourist.

Left swimming pools: this part is mixed, with shirt, bathing cap and compulsory sandals (one can get it itself on the spot). Swimming pool thermale internal opened all year long (the famous swimming pool in columns). Outside swimming pools opened only the summer: big swimming pool thermale outside (20 x 10 m) in 32°C with machine waves, and swimming pool for children.

Left thermes: this part is A NATURIST and NON-MIXED, with circuits separated for the men and for the women. Thermales swimming pools, saunas, hammam(Turkish bath), massages.

Opened all year long, from Monday till Friday from 7 o'clock till 20 o'clock, on Saturdays from 7 o'clock till 14 o'clock, on Sundays from 7 o'clock till 13 o'clock. Outside swimming pool opened from 7 o'clock till 19 o'clock (16 hours on Sundays in winter). Closed last Wednesday of the month.

Price of the entrance(entry): of 1500 in 1800 forints. Supplied towels(briefcases).

Széchényi Baths

Pronounce: " Ssaichègni ".
The biggest European hydropathic establishment: 2 million guests a year. Impressive palace builds in the middle of the city park between 1909 and 1913, with ponds outdoors added in 1927. Recollections of the Roman baths and the style the neo-baroque. A big dome the baroque contributes to the nobility of the set(group).
7 thermales swimming pools (outside 3 and internal 4), among which one with hydrojets and Jacuzzi. The biggest pond is in 32°C, most warmly is in 40°C. Several saunas and a good hammam(Turkish bath). Mud baths, carbo-gas baths, salty baths, baths with bustles, massages, solarium.

Mixed establishment, compulsory swimsuit. Children admitted from 6 years (accompanied with an adult until 14 years).

Swimming pools opened every day from 6. 30 till 19 o'clock (lock of the box at 18 o'clock). Baths mixed thermaux opened from April till September every day from 6. 30 till 19 o'clock, and from October till March from 6. 30 till 17 o'clock from Monday till Saturday and from 6. 30 till 16 o'clock on Sundays.

Price of the entrance(entry): 700 forints, for unlimited duration.
